The section starts in Lund, where there is a large selection of shops, restaurants and cafés. It is easy to use the bicycle to get around between the destinations as Lund was named the cycling city of the year in 2017. A visit to the cathedral is a must, as is culture in Lund and why not the Museum of Sketches. Take in the medieval city center from your saddle, among cobblestones and half-timbered houses. 

The journey continues on an easily bike path towards Staffanstorp, which is the interim target for the shortest leg of the path. Outside Lund, you are cycling directly to open expanses consisting of Sweden's best arable land. Arable land is important for food supply, but is also an important part of Skåne's identity and appeal.

Just before Staffanstorp, the trail passes over Gullåkra bog. The bog consists of wet meadows and pastures with several small ponds and streams. If you're lucky, you can see birds of prey, bats, dragonflies and winter birds. From the cycle path, there are numerous opportunities to get out on the bog. There is a nature trail which connects directly from the cycle path at the bridge over Dynnbäck. 

Having arrived in Staffanstorp you will pass Brågarp church from the 12th century and in the more central parts you will find Staffanstorp's inn which dates back to the end of the 19th century. There are a handful of other eateries in the village, as well as a few grocery stores. From Staffanstorp comes the made-up comedy character Tiffany Persson from the TV program Hipp Hipp from the early 2000s, played by Anders Jansson. Tiffany Persson has also been given its name to one of Skånetrafiken's passenger trains.  

Along Sub trail 103 there are train stations in the following locations: Lomma, Lund C, Klostergården, Hjärup, Örtofta, Stehag, Eslöv, Höör and Kristianstad.
