In Hörby there is all the necessary service for your journey. It can be good to purchase a packed lunch and coffee because this section as well as section 7 between Tollarp - Kristianstad have less service along the trail. 

A stone's throw from Hörby center you will find Karnas Backe, which is a popular outdoor recreational area. Make a stop and take a walk on one of the many trails in the area or why not play some Frisbee golf. There are also barbecue facilities.

The section offers meditative cycling along the old railway embankment, free from vehicle traffic, which means you can really enjoy the serenity. The railway embankment slowly climbs up the Linderödsåsen and the nature shifts from a fragmented cultivation and deciduous forest landscape to a denser beech forest. Linderödsåsen is the largest of the ridges in Skåne and measures a maximum of 200 meters above sea level. However, the bike path does not pass the highest peaks. Linderödsåsen is a horst of crystalline rock which arose through the movements of the continental plates. The movements can trigger minor earthquakes, and one of the major earthquakes in Skåne in recent times occurred in 2008. The quake measured 4.5 - 5 on the Richter scale, which still is barely perceptible.

The trail passes the village of Linderöd and when you reach Tollarp you are over the ridge and the agricultural landscape becomes more tangible again. Tollarp was developed in connection with the arrival of the railway at the end of the 19th century, and shortly afterwards the food company Önos was established. Which still operates in the town today, although under a different name. There is service in the form of a grocery store, pizzeria and visit the stately Västra Vrams church from the mid-1800s. 

Along Sub trail 103 there are train stations in the following locations: Lomma, Lund C, Klostergården, Hjärup, Örtofta, Stehag, Eslöv, Höör and Kristianstad.
